Solana has introduced a $1 million bug bounty for the Firedancer validator client, encouraging developers to identify critical bugs.

Starting on July 10, the program will run for 42 days, managed by Immunefi and funded by Jump Crypto.

Participants can earn rewards from a $1 million pool, with a maximum single bounty of $1 million in USDC.

Firedancer, an independent validator client, aims to improve Solana’s network performance, processing transactions and building blocks more efficiently than the current QUIC protocol.

Led by Cantelope Peel from Jump Crypto, the project has been in development since January 2023 and first launched on a Solana testnet in November 2023.

The program requires KYC registration and promises prompt investigation of reported bugs.

The development team is also exploring implementing Firedancer on Ethereum.
