Key Takeaways:

  • $1 Billion Asset Tokenization: MANTRA Blockchain partners with DAMAC Group to tokenize $1 billion in real estate and other assets starting in early 2025.
  • Expanding RWA Adoption: Tokenized assets will include real estate, hospitality, and data centers, enhancing investment transparency and accessibility.
  • Middle East Blockchain Leadership: DAMAC continues to embrace blockchain innovations, complementing its earlier acceptance of Bitcoin and Ether for property payments.

MANTRA Blockchain, a layer-1 blockchain specializing in tokenizing real-world assets (RWA), has partnered with the UAE’s DAMAC Group to tokenize $1 billion worth of assets.

The initiative, slated to start in early 2025, aims to modernize investment processes by digitizing DAMAC’s diverse portfolio, which includes real estate, hospitality, and data centers.

This move will enhance accessibility and transparency for both retail and institutional investors, according to DAMAC’s Managing Director, Amira Sajwani.

Tokenization, which transforms traditional assets into blockchain-based digital tokens, offers faster settlements, greater transparency, and broader market access.

This trend is rapidly growing, with the RWA market projected to reach trillions of dollars by the decade’s end. MANTRA, which launched its blockchain mainnet in October, has been active in the Middle East, previously announcing plans to tokenize $500 million in assets for Dubai-based MAG Group.

Its native token, OM, has seen its market capitalization triple to $3.6 billion recently.

DAMAC, a blockchain pioneer in real estate, began accepting Bitcoin and Ether payments in 2022 and recently announced a $20 billion U.S. data center investment.

This partnership highlights how blockchain technology is revolutionizing industries, creating new opportunities for innovation and global investment.
