Key Takeaways:
- DoubleZero Network plans to launch its public mainnet in H2 2025, following a $28M funding round and testnet beta rollout.
- The network enables operators to contribute bandwidth to a decentralized, blockchain-optimized infrastructure, aiming for a censorship-resistant internet alternative.
- The testnet is live across seven cities, with major crypto and infrastructure firms participating to enhance scalability and efficiency.
DoubleZero, a blockchain-native networking project, is developing an alternative to the traditional internet, designed specifically for decentralized systems.
The project recently secured $28 million in funding, co-led by Multicoin Capital and Dragonfly Capital, to support its upcoming mainnet launch in the second half of 2025.
Thanks for having me on the @midcurvemedia podcast, although I'm told i broke the rules and did not do it mid curve and @eden_ says the people want mid curve so here we go

The internet is fundamentally broken: but it's not your fault.
The Internet was built to be peer-to-peer… https://t.co/mJB8QNnrkf
DoubleZero’s vision is to create a decentralized, censorship-resistant internet where network operators contribute unused bandwidth to power blockchain and distributed applications.
Unlike traditional ISPs, DoubleZero’s infrastructure is community-owned and optimized for high-performance data transport, addressing blockchain scalability issues at the network layer.
Co-founded by Austin Federa, former Strategy Lead at the Solana Foundation, along with Andrew McConnell and Mateo Ward, the project has already launched a testnet beta in seven global cities, including New York, London, and Tokyo.
The testnet is currently being used by Solana validators and RPC providers to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Federa describes DoubleZero as a way to fix the internet for blockchain, ensuring fair access to data and network resources.
As the project moves toward its mainnet release, it aims to reshape internet infrastructure for the next generation of decentralized applications.
