Our suggestion would be to pick one exchange which works for you and stick with it, it will make your life much easier. The alternative would be keeping cryptocurrencies on different exchanges which is hard to keep track of.

1. Independent Reserve Exchange

- Country: Australia
- Currency:Â AUD, USD, NZD
- Fees: 0.5%
- Available Cryptocurrencies:Â 10+
2. Swyftx Exchange
- Website:Â swyftx.com.au
- Country: Australia
- Currency: AUD
- Fees: 0.6%
- Available Cryptocurrencies:Â 70+ Cryptocurrencies & adding more regularly
Swyftx is an exchange that is predominantly based in Australia. Swyftx currently doesn’t operate in NZ but they are looking at expanding there soon. Their platform is excellent and they are constantly making it better. Their online wallet makes things incredibly easy and they have the lowest fees. Swyftx makes the whole process of buying a cryptocurrency incredibly painless, and if you ever have any issues their support team is great. Swyftx allows you to quickly and easily swap/trade & sell cryptocurrency compared to other exchanges.
Other exchanges often require you to move your cryptocurrency to a separate online wallet for safety reasons but you can sleep easy knowing your crypto is safe on Swyftx. Their team goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and if you have any questions they’ll happily help. When you sign up you’ll be assigned an account manager who will help you out along the way. This means that the exchange is perfect for new users, but also great for experienced users due to it’s low fees.
3. Binance Exchange
- Website:Â www.binance.com
- Country: China
- Currency:Â USD
- Fees: 0.1%
- Available Cryptocurrencies:Â 120+ Cryptocurrencies
Binance is the most used global exchange, if you feel comfortable using an exchange that doesn’t deal with fiat money (NZD/AUD/USD etc) then this is a good option. You can only trade cryptocurrencies on this exchange so you would have to buy it elsewhere then send it to Binance. It’s a little more complex but the fees are much better which makes long term trading easier. This isn’t recommended for beginner users.
4. eToro Exchange
- Website:Â www.etoro.com
- Country: Europe
- Currency:Â GBP, USD
- Fees: Daily Fees
- Available Cryptocurrencies:Â Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple & 3 more.
eToro is a large global brokerage that allows you to do a lot more traditional trading and investing strategies. For people who are comfortable with stocks and shares this might be a good option, however their international support is terrible which is why we wouldn’t recommend them. Their platform is really complex and definitely won’t be suitable for new users.
5. Coinbase Exchange
- Website:Â www.coinbase.com
- Country: United States
- Currency:Â USD
- Fees: 4%
- Available Cryptocurrencies:Â Bitcoin, Ethereum & Litecoin
Coinbase is huge in the USA but offers very few cryptocurrencies and has huge fees. It would definitely be advised to steer clear of this exchange, they’ve also had problems in the past where people can’t withdraw their funds.
6. BitTrex Exchange
- Website:Â bittrex.com
- Country: United States
- Currency:Â USD
- Fees: 0.25%
- Available Cryptocurrencies:Â 190+ Coins
7. CoinMama Exchange
- Website:Â www.coinmama.com
- Country: Slovakia
- Currency:Â USD & EUR
- Fees: 6%
- Available Cryptocurrencies:Â Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, BitcoinCash, Litecoin, Cardano, Qtum
8. Kraken Exchange

- Currency:Â USD
- Fees: 0.2%
- Available Cryptocurrencies:Â 20+ Cryptocurrencies
